Breast Cancer Awareness Month
It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month at South Steyne Medical Centre.
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in Australia. Approximately 55 Australians are diagnosed with it each and every day. This means that over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
Since 1994 the 5-year survival rate has increased from 76% to 91%!
This is why Breast Cancer Awareness Month is so important. The work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation is saving thousands of lives.
