It’s Pink Ribbon Day at South Steyne Medical.

Get your ribbons ready for the Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day. This day is a great opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer. Being able to recognise the signs and symptoms of breast cancer early is the best way to manage and treat the disease.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month at South Steyne Medical Centre.

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in Australia. Approximately 55 Australians are diagnosed with it each and every day. This means that over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

Since 1994 the 5-year survival rate has increased from 76% to 91%!

This is why Breast Cancer Awareness Month is so important. The work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation is saving thousands of lives.
